Unsocial Hours Belfry Burnout was an exhibition of new work made at Serf in Leeds during a one month long residency in June 2025. All the work was made using waste materials retrieved from recycling bins at the warehouse I was working at as a fixed term worker doing night shifts. Departing from an image of the charred remains of the belfry of a wooden church burned by a Norwegian black metaller, the materiality of, and the performance of sustainability in distribution networks and the experience of exhaustion and sleep disruption informed the residency and the work that was made and exhibited.
